As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will help shape the future by developing and implementing innovative programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating age-appropriate educational programs that cater to the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of each child. You’ll create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn through play, exploration, and guided interaction. Through continuous observation and assessment, you’ll document and track their progress, providing feedback to families and fostering strong partnerships with them to ensure each child’s needs are met. Your leadership and mentoring skills will be crucial as you guide your colleagues in providing high-quality education and promoting professional growth.
Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with a team of passionate educators and actively contribute to team meetings, reflective practices, and quality improvement initiatives. Your involvement in staff development, curriculum planning, and maintaining operational standards will help elevate the service’s delivery, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your ability to build strong relationships with families and engage with the local community will enhance the overall educational experience for the children in your care.
For this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), current Teacher Accreditation by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), and a valid Working with Children Check. In-depth knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant regulations is essential, as is a passion for leadership, curriculum development, and fostering an inclusive environment. This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies. The town has medical services, excellent schools, a variety of sporting and social clubs and a thriving tourism Industry. With the nearby Warrumbungle National Park, which is also Australia’s first Dark Sky Park, there is plenty to do and explore whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation.
Selection criteria include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA.
- Current Teacher Accreditation by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant regulations.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
- Class C driver’s licence.
