Reticulation Operator South
Job No:
WASC617
Location:
Coolah/Dunedoo
Department: Warrumbungle Water
Reports to: Team Leader Reticulation South
Salary Range: $59,109 - $68,694 per annum + superannuation
Warrumbungle Shire Council is looking for a reliable hands-on operator to join our Water Reticulation team. Most days you’ll be out reading water meters across the Shire, keeping records accurate, and making sure the community’s water and sewer services are running smoothly.
When you’re not on meter reading runs, you’ll be getting stuck into maintenance, repairs, and emergency call-outs on water and sewer infrastructure. You’ll also operate trucks and plant, help on capital projects, and assist with labouring tasks on site, like excavation and pipe installation. You'll support the water team across the shire as needed, not just locally. This hands-on role is all about being practical, flexible, and reliable.
We need someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently for long periods but also works well as part of a team, and isn’t afraid of physical tasks. You’ll be part of a highly motivated, high-output team that backs each other, gets stuck in, can be trusted to see jobs through properly and takes real pride in a job done right. This is stable, long-term work with real purpose and the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
