Part Time Warrumbungle Community Care Coordinator

Job No: WASC665
Location: Coolah

Department: Children's and Community Services

Reports to: Supervisor Warrumbungle Community Care

Salary Range: $40.94 - $47.58 per hour + superannuation

Enjoy the benefits of regional living while being part of a close-knit community and a team that genuinely cares about the people it supports

Make a difference where it matters most. If you’re someone who genuinely cares about people, enjoys building relationships and wants your work to have a meaningful impact on the lives of older people, people living with disability and their carers, this could be the role for you.

As a Warrumbungle Community Care Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating services that help people remain independent, connected and supported in their own homes. This is a hands-on customer service and coordination role, ensuring clients receive the right support at the right time, with a strong focus on client enquiries, registrations, service bookings and records. You’ll coordinate Community Transport, Meals on Wheels packing and delivery schedules, assist with Social Support, Respite and Home Maintenance services, and support clients participating in the Support at Home program. You’ll also coordinate volunteers and assist with casual staff, organise and attend client events, outings and trips, and monitor service requirements for the fleet. There’s plenty of computer work too, including data entry, statistics, reporting and using specialised aged care and Council systems.

You’ll be working closely with clients, families, support workers, volunteers and government and community agencies. Every day will be different, and every day will provide an opportunity to make a genuine difference. We’re looking for a genuine people person with heart, a strong customer focus and the ability to make things happen. You’ll be confident with computers, organised and adaptable, with initiative, strong interpersonal skills and a practical approach to problem solving. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously while also being a supportive team player — someone who can get the job done while keeping the client experience at the centre of everything they do. Experience in aged care or community services will be highly regarded, as will experience working with volunteers, coordinating services or in a similar community-focused role.

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a team that brings heart, humour and humanity to their work. We’re a passionate, compassionate and close-knit team who care about the community we serve, enjoy working together and genuinely help each other out. This is more than a coordination role — this is customer service where it really matters. If you’re motivated by helping people live well, independently and connected to their community, we’d love to hear from you. Bring your skills, your ideas and your sense of humour — and make a real difference in the Warrumbungle community.
