Join Our Children’s Services Team – Four Opportunities Available

Permanent and fixed-term opportunities | Assistant Educator, Educator and Coordinator roles

Are you ready to join a supportive and dynamic team where you can grow your career while making a real difference in children’s lives?

Warrumbungle Children’s Services brings together Long Day Care, Pre- School, Outside School Hours Care (OOSH) and our Mobile Play Services, working collaboratively to support children, families and communities.

Our OOSH program provides supervised care and recreation for primary school-aged children (5-12 years), emphasising play, social interaction and recreation activities while our mobile play service supports isolated families with young children in their learning and development prior to starting school, particularly those children aged 0 to 5 years who do not have access to other Early Childhood Services such as Preschool or Long Day Care.

We have multiple opportunities available across our service, offering a mix of permanent and fixed-term employment.

Assistant Educator – Permanent, Full-Time (long day care and pre-school), $1,182 - $1,373 per 35 hour week
Join our team in an ongoing role supporting the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care and creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children.

Educator – Term Contract, up to 18 Months (mobile pre-school), $1,432 - $1,665 per 35 hour week
Contribute your skills and experience to a time-limited project, supporting quality educational experiences and positive outcomes for children and families.

Children's Services Coordinator – Term Contract, up to 18 Months (mobile pre-school), $1,647 - $1,915 per 35 hour week
An opportunity for an experienced educator or room leader to take on a leadership-level role as part of an 18-month project, supporting the team and the delivery of high-quality ECEC.

Children's Services Coordinator – Term Contract, up to 2 Years (OOSH), $1,647 - $1,915 per 35 hour week
A temporary opportunity at Coordinator (room leader) level, providing leadership and continuity within the team for a period of up to two years.

While each role has a primary service setting, our team works across service streams as required, bringing people together as part of a connected, supportive team to deliver quality experiences and outcomes for children and families.

In these roles, you will work in key areas across our early childhood, mobile play and out-of-school hours care (OOSH) programs. You will facilitate and deliver high-quality programs, ensuring the needs of children from diverse backgrounds are met. You will work with children across early childhood, mobile play or OOSH settings, supporting transitions, fostering development, and maintaining continuity of care. Your experience and adaptability will ensure programs remain engaging, inclusive, and responsive to the community you serve.

You will support the planning and delivery of engaging programs that foster children’s creativity, curiosity, and love of learning. Using observations and assessments, you’ll tailor experiences to meet individual needs, ensuring that every child feels valued, included, and inspired. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and consistency of our programs, helping children achieve positive outcomes while experiencing a safe, nurturing environment.

Our Coordinators also play a leadership and mentorship role, guiding a team of educators to deliver quality care while providing opportunities for professional growth.

Collaboration is at the heart of these positions—you’ll work closely with colleagues, families, and community partners to strengthen service delivery, promote engagement, and build meaningful connections. Your leadership, creativity, and proactive approach will be essential in shaping a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will also contribute to embedding strong child safety practices across the service, working alongside senior leadership to ensure compliance, quality, and continuous improvement remain at the forefront.

Our ideal candidate will hold relevant Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification), have centre-based or OOSH experience with, for our Coordinators, a genuine passion for leading and mentoring educators. You’ll be adaptable, highly organised, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference in a diverse community.

You'll join a team that is passionate, creative, and collaborative, bringing energy and dedication to everything we do. We work together to deliver engaging programs and community events, let our individual passions shine, and support each other to grow professionally—all while creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and families.

Whether you're an educator looking to grow your experience or an experienced room leader ready to take the next step, if you’re looking for a role where your passion, flexibility, and leadership can shape the future of early childhood education and care, we want to hear from you.
